Abstract: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous lung disease that is persistent, repeatedly deteriorating airway obstruction due to respiratory abnormalities (bubuchitis, bronchiolitis) and/or alveolar abnormalities (emphysema).
