Progress in the development of a single Cooper-pair box qubit

Abstract: We describe in this review progress in techniques for measuring the quantum states of the single Cooper-pair box (SCB) at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the use of these techniques to characterize their performance as quantum bits.
