Prognostic significance of peripheral blood S100A12, S100A8, S100A9 concentrations in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

Abstract: Background S100A12, S100A8, and S100A9 are considered to be biomarkers of inflammatory diseases; however, their roles in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) remain unclear. In this study, the levels of S100A12, S100A8, and S100A9 in the serum of patients with IPF were analyzed to evaluate the significance of these three factors in the development and prognosis of IPF.
