Prognostic Factors of Surgical Complications and Overall Survival of Patients with Metastatic Spinal Tumor

Abstract: Spinal metastatic disease is a challenging surgical problem. If the exact prognostic factors are known preoperatively, surgical outcome and overall survival can be predicted more precisely. Our results could provide a basis for a future multicenter prospective study to determine the best treatment protocol for patients with spinal metastases.

Among patients with MESCC surgical treatment prove to be effective mainly with respect to pain reduction and improvements in the patient's functional status and quality of life [9,10,17].Numerous scoring systems have been developed to assess life expectancy and qualify patients for an appropriate treatment method.
