We don't plan it that way, but that's how it is.'' Many non-profit organizations are now turning that one on its head by taking an approach to marketing, self-promotion and branding which has more in common with the for-profit world of business. Such concepts might sound, on the face of it, to fly in the face of what non-profit organizations purport to stand for. The fact remains, however, that they face the same need to produce results, even if their ultimate goals are different from those of their profit-oriented counterparts.''
