“…However, Franchi et al, (27) results werein disagreement with results our where they found sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma occurring in male more than females. Alsoin US, Turner and Reh et al, (28) , found sinonasal malignant tumors were in higher incidence in male patients (58.3%) and in Iran, Poursadegh, (29) found 1.8 times males more frequent than females.Similar results of higher male-to-female ratios for malignant sinonasal tumors were reported by Kawaguchi et al, (30) , Fadly et al, (25) and Arti et al, (23) . However, a fairly accepted explanation is the higher carcinogenic exposure of males (31) .In contrast to the present study, Bakari et al, in (32) found a higher preponderance of females than males in sinonasal papillomas where could be related to the sample size of patients enrolled in these studies.…”

“…The study by Shirazi et al, (24) showed that the advanced stratum age (40-50) in sinonasal and nasopharyngeal was most affected. Fadly et al, (25) found that the highest incidence (27.7%) of the sinonasal malignant tumors was in those 41-50 years. This could be explained by the impairment and/ or decline in the immune system in those old ages.…”

“…Of 71 malignant tumors found in this study, the most histopathological type was nonkeratinizing squamous cell carcinoma in 41 patients (43.2%). The same thing is also found in research conducted by Fadly et al, [16] Sinonasal tumor patients generally receive therapy in the form of surgery, as many as 28 patients (29.5%). In addition, some patients also receive therapy adjuvant in the form of chemotherapy and radiation, or a combination of the two after surgery.…”

“…While sinonasal malignancies are rare cases with an incidence rate of around 0.55 cases per 100,000 population per year [5]. The highest incidence of sinonasal malignancy is found in Japan, which is 2 cases per 10,000 population per year [6]. In Europe, in 2003 around 14,500 people were diagnosed with epithelial tumors originating from the nasal cavity [7].…”
