Trauma is a holistic condition that can cause loss of productivity even to death. This study aimed to obtain an overview of trauma patients at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado from January to December 2021. This was a retrospective and descriptive study using patient medical record data. The results showed that out of 223 patients, the highest percentages were found in the adult group (43.1%), male sex (81.6%), and private employees (25.5%). The causes of trauma were sharp trauma (59.2%) and blunt trauma (40,8%). The most common location for injuries due to blunt trauma was the head (60.6%) meanwhile for injuries due to sharp trauma was the chest (51.6%). Based on the GCS of trauma patients, the most common type of head injury was mild head injury (45 of 223 patients). In conclusion, most trauma patients were adult, male, worked as private employee, had sharp trauma, wound site on the chest, and mild head injury Keywords: sharp trauma; blunt trauma; cause of trauma Abstrak: Trauma adalah kejadian yang bersifat holistik dan menyebabkan hilangnya produktivitas seseorang bahkan sampai kematian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran pasien trauma di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado pada periode Januari sampai Desember tahun 2021. Jenis penelitian ialah deskriptif retrospektif, menggunakan data rekam medik pasien. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan bahwa dari 223 pasien trauma, yang terbanyak ialah usia dewasa (43,1%), jenis kelamin laki–laki (81,6%), dan pekerjaan sebagai pegawai swasta (25,5%). Penyebab trauma yaitu trauma tajam (59,2%) dan trauma tumpul (40,8%). Lokasi luka akibat trauma tumpul terbanyak yaitu kepala (60,6%) sedangkan akibat trauma tajam yaitu dada (51,6%). Berdasarkan perolehan GCS yang terbanyak pada pasien trauma ialah cedera kepala ringan (45 dari 223 pasien). Simpulan penelitian ini ialah pasien trauma yang terbanyak ialah golongan dewasa, laki–laki, pegawai swasta, trauma tajam, lokasi luka pada dada, dan cedera kepala ringan. The high incidence of trauma caused by traffic accidents and other causes resulting in the high mortality of trauma. A general practitioner (GP)'s primary survey knowledge and management could minimalized the risk of the death. RS Tingkat II Dustira has an emergency department so the GPs ought to have knowledge in primary survey. This study used observational descriptive method using primary data collected from the questionnaire filled by 39 GPs in RS Tingkat II Dustira. The data was analyzed univariately. The respondents' length of work mostly were 1-10 years (26 respondents). 40% of the GPs who went through ATLS training before had a good knowledge and 72% of the GPs who didn't go through ATLS had a good knowledge. The GP's who had a good knowledge about primary survey's first component, airway, were 27% GPs, in the breathing component were 13%, the circulation component was 49%, disability component were 92%, and 87% respondents in exposure component. This is an interesting study as an addition to RS Tingkat II Dustira to refresh the knowledge for the GPs. The levels of knowledge in primary survey are better descriptively in the GPs which underwent the Non-ATLS training but with good experience because it was influenced by the length of work in the emergency department.

Inproper and delayed management of fracture could cause neglected fracture (NF) with or without dislocation resulting in worse condition and disability. The incidence of NF is high enough worldwide, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. Albeit, there is no accurate data of NF incidence, especially in Manado. This study was aimed to determine the factors related to NF incidence. This was an observational and analytical study with a retrospective approach and a cross-sectional design. In this study, we used medical record data of fracture patients with and without NF form January 1 to December 31, 2018 at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado. The results showed that of five factors analyzed by using chi-square test, two factors were correlated to NF incidence (p<0.05) which were age and sex, meanwhile educational status, fracture location, and patient’s home address were not correlated to NF incidence (p>0.05). In conclusion, there were significant relationships between age and sex and the incidence of negleted fracture.Keywords: neglected fracture Abstrak: Penanganan fraktur yang tidak tepat dan cepat akan menimbulkan kejadian neglected fracture/NF dengan atau tanpa dislokasi yang berakibat memburuknya kondisi atau bahkan kecacatan. Data pasti mengenai kejadian NF khususnya di Manado belum ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian NF. Jenis penelitian ialah observasional-analitik dengan pendekatan retrospektif dan desain potong lintang menggunakan data rekam medik pasien fraktur yang mengalami NF dan non-NF pada 1 Januari-31 Desember 2018 di RSUP Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari lima faktor yang diteliti menggunakan chi-square test didapatkan bahwa faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian NF (p<0,05) yaitu usia dan jenis kelamin, sedangkan faktor status pendidikan, lokasi fraktur, dan alamat tempat tinggal pasien tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian NF (p>0,05). Simpulan penelitian ini ialah terdapat dua faktor yang berhubungan bermakna dengan kejadian NF yaitu usia dan jenis kelamin.Kata kunci: neglected fracture
