The increasing global economic importance of the Association of SouthEast Asian Nations (ASEAN), is creating new cultural challenges for participating governments. These challenges are clearly impacting on Human Mobility and Human Capability Development within the trading bloc. Development challenges are particularly evident in supply chains, where new knowledge, skills, and attitudes are needed to ensure respect for Halal services and the provenance of Halal products as they are traded across the region. While reflecting on this issue, this paper looks closely at the implicit and explicit challenges and opportunities in building culturally relevant ASEAN 'Human Capabilities' along increasingly globalized supply chains. The discussion also aims to explore the myriad of matters which could potentially impact the development and implementation of a competency-based Human Resource Development (HRD) strategy for ASEAN in and around Halal trading practices. It examines how this activity could positively influence the preservation of quality and enable the building of trust and assurance along Halal Supply Chains. The discussion also focuses on the potential deployment of occupational standards to improve Human Capability training interventions along Halal Supply Chains, which at their core respect religious beliefs and are conscious of cultural sensitivities.

In planning education strategies in the field of logistics and SCM, external factors evaluation approach can be implemented. This study proposes the approach of mass media sources and latest news as a basis for determining external factors, as a result, the formulation obtained is newest and more contextual. Those external factors then are going to be analyzed to formulate a strategy that is suitable for logistics education. The strategy emerges into several main things; although it is not time to lead fully to Industry 4.0, the Education curriculum should include knowledge that is aligned and supports the knowledge, Soft Skills that needed to be in logistics and supply chain education are English language skills and the ability to search for data. Object of the research in terms of logistics education which currently growing interests are namely logistics and SCM marine, e-commerce and international zones. Graduates need to be equipped with the ability to do business process efficiently and digitize all business processes.

Abstract-The field of logistics education is rather colorful. The range of possible topics is huge and so each curriculum has unique approach towards which topic areas to emphasize and which to treat briefly or even omit. There is only little effective standardization in logistics education. This study examines the content of 42 undergraduate logistics curricula in Europe via cluster analysis, with a goal to propose a typology of logistics curricula. The findings define the spectrum of logistics education in four clusters, ranging from "business administration" with little focus on most specific logistics topics, through "interdisciplinary logistics management" and "modern transport management" to "logistics engineering" with a strong quantitative and technology approach. However, a problem remains that curriculum title does not always reflect actual profile. A typical title "logistics management" might in one case contain various engineering elements, but in another none at all. Such findings point out the need for curricula boards to decide, if trying to cover the entire scope by "one-size-fits-all" program is the best option or if more distinct focus is needed. In both cases this decision needs to be intentional, agreed and clearly communicated to avoid confusing students and society. Furthermore, the study points out the need to refine standards of competences in logistics, especially for logistics engineering.
