We read with excitement "Professional and career development needs of clinical pharmacists in settings outside academia." 1 We are grateful for the thoughtful exploration concerning professional development needs and challenges facing non-academia clinical pharmacists. Our clinical leadership at University Health, a large academic center with 240 inpatient/outpatient clinical pharmacists, share concerns regarding premature attrition and burnout within the profession.
