“…Overall, economic growth, technical innovation, grower's education, production scale, and environmental protection are often found to be crucial determinants of aquaculture's technical efficiency (Asche et al, 2009; Fernández Sánchez et al, 2020; Rahman et al, 2020; Scuderi & Chen, 2018) and ecological efficiency (Du et al, 2021; Zhang et al, 2021). Therefore, we aim to investigate these factors' impact on the efficiencies of Chinese aquaculture industries.…”

“…In the case of aquaculture, carp polyculture (a suitable composition of silver carp, catla, rohu, common carp, mrigal, sarputi, and grass carp suggested by previous studies [29][30][31]), mixed culture of freshwater giant prawns with carp polyculture (e.g., [32][33][34]), and Asian stinging catfish or shingi monoculture (e.g., [35][36][37]) were practiced in order to produce a greater amount of fish while following sustainable environment-friendly aqua- In contrast, none of the control farmers received any support and no change was carried out in their homesteads (Figure 3c-f). They were only asked to provide baseline data and other seasonal production data.…”

“…A Färe-Primont index approach was used to analyze the efficiency of aquaculture with regard to the 'Gher' aquaculture system in Bangladesh. It was discovered that the total factor productivity increased by 0.86% per year, mainly driven by technological changes of 0.54% per year and assorted efficiency changes of 0.06% per year [24]. Data envelopment analysis, combined with the double-bootstrapping technique, was used to analyze the cost and technical efficiencies of intensive shrimp farming in Ningshun, Vietnam.…”
