Production of reserves of oil- water zones of low-viscosity oil deposits

Abstract: The authors state that during the production there is the process of transition of deposits to the category of bottom water-drive reservoirs due to frontal displacement by the injected water. As a result, the nature of water flooding becomes similar to the primary areas of bottom water-drive reservoirs. It is shown that for water-drive areas, the development is characterized by unfavorably high input values of water flooding and its intensive growth in the range of oil recovery factor from 0.1 to 0.3 fractions… Show more

“…The technology of microbiological impact based on DAS (dry activated sludge) developed at BashNIPIneft has been introduced since 1996; 146 well treatments have been carried out on the carbonate reservoirs of the Novouzybashevsky, Volkovsky and Znamensky fields, additional 153.9 thousand tons of oil have been produced (Table 1). The results of the use of activated sludge in the injection wells of the Bobrikov horizon, developed by NGDU Tuimazaneft, are shown in Table 2 [10]. The average efficiency of one treatment is 1.0-1.5 thousand tons of additional oil.…”

“…In [7], a hypothetical reservoir with a porous reservoir type developed by three production wells and one injection well was described. It was assumed that the reservoir is conditionally homogeneous in terms of permeability.…”

“…Therefore, it is important to choose an optimal density of the well grid in order to achieve satisfactory technical and economic indicators with the maximum oil recovery. Identification of areas, the drilling of which is not economically viable (due to the low values of recoverable reserves), will allow for more rational use of funds [4][5][6][7].…”
