Production of doubly heavy baryons via Higgs boson decays

Abstract: We systematically analyzed the production of semi-inclusive doubly heavy baryons (Ξ cc , Ξ bc and Ξ bb ) for the process H 0 → Ξ QQ ′ +Q ′ +Q through four main Higgs decay channels within the framework of non-relativistic QCD. The contributions from the intermediate diquark states, cc, have been taken into consideration. The differential distributions and three main sources of the theoretical uncertainties have been discussed. At the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider, there will be about 0.43×10 4 events o… Show more

“…With respect to the color factors above, these have been illustrated in Refs. [28][29][30][31]. The color state for the diquark (Qc) is either antitriplet 3 or sextuplet 6 due to the decomposition of SU C (3) color group 3…”

“…We shall not distinguish the wave function for different color states 3 and 6 as Refs. [19,[29][30][31]44]. Some people argue that the interaction inside the diquark with 3 state is attractive while repulsive for the diquark with 6 state owing to the one-gluon exchange interaction, so 6 is suppressed to 3 by order v 2 and its contribution can be ignored [28,44].…”

“…At present, a detailed study of the Higgs sector is the important direction in particle physics. The large mass of the Higgs boson, as well as significant coupling constants with gauge bosons and quarks, provide a variety of decay channels [3][4][5][6][7][8][9]. The analysis of various decays is based on a set of proton-proton collision data collected with detectors at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.…”

“…In the work [6], various channels of the Higgs boson decay into pairs of heavy quarkonia were studied, including H → ZZ, H → W W . Single B c meson and double heavy baryon production rates in Higgs boson decays were calculated in the nonrelativistic QCD framework in [7,8]. The observations of the Higgs boson decays into a pair γγ, W W , ZZ, b b and τ τ have been reported in [15][16][17][18].…”
