Production of Biochar from Biomass Pyrolysis for Removal of PFAS from Wastewater and Biosolids: A Critical Review

Abstract: Biochar is an inexpensive and effective carbon sequestration technology produced by slow and fast pyrolysis of biomass feedstock at elevated temperatures in inert conditions producing large quantities of solid residue (i.e., biochar), condensable liquids (bio-oil) and hydrocarbon gases.
