Production Efficiency Prediction of Pig Breeding Industry by Optimized LSTM Computer Algorithm under Environmental Regulation

Abstract: The study aims to improve the economic income of pig breeding industry under environmental regulation and control the environmental pollution caused by pig breeding. Long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network combined with environmental regulation is proposed to forecast the price of live pigs, to reduce the cost of environmental pollution control and improve the production efficiency of pig breeding. Primarily, analyses are made on the industrial structure and pollution of pigs in China, and studies are car… Show more

“…The results of [ 35 ] warn that with the increase in the price of feed and land, the advantages of large-scale pig farms gradually become prominent, thus, forcing small and medium-scale farms to close. Additionally, since pig farming is inevitably linked with the environment and productivity levels, environmental legislation could have a strong impact on the future development of the pork sector [ 27 ].…”

“…Onyenweaku and Effiong (2006) utilized the SFA method to measure pig productivity in Nigeria and investigate the factors influencing it. Common non-desired output indicators include measures of chemical oxygen demand (COD), total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP) surface source pollution values for PGTFP (Jia et al, 2021;Zhong et al, 2022a).…”

“…The green total factor productivity of pig breeding (PGTFP) refers to the lowest resource consumption for achieving as much output as possible while minimizing the negative impact of pig breeding on the environment. PGTFP is an important indicator of the environmental and economic benefits of pig breeding development (Jia et al, 2021). The pig breeding industry has the most significant carbon emissions in the agricultural sector.…”

“…According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, only in 2015, China produced 2.633 billion tons of wastewater from livestock and poultry farming, but its comprehensive utilization rate was less than 60% [1,2]. If livestock wastewater is not effectively treated and discharged into surrounding water bodies, it will cause environmental pollution in agricultural areas [3,4]. Therefore, exploring efficient and low-cost wastewater treatment technology will be the focus of pollution prevention technology in the livestock and poultry farming industry.…”
