“…Different types of foams and porous structures could be prepared by several techniques, including direct blowing, phase separation, replica, etching, thermal decomposition, etc. [155][156][157][158][159][160][161][162][163][164][165][166] Recently, single-layer polyimide (PI) film air filters were patterned with thru-holes by ion milling, which allows fabricating micrometer holes of defined sizes by photolithography. [167] More common than thin, single-layer filters are thicker filters, often accompanied by larger pore sizes.…”

“…At the same time, it can be noted that the band of about 1300-1500 cm −1 has an intensity higher than that of the bands corresponding to the vibrations of nonbridging oxygen atoms in the silicate network. Since the line in the high-frequency region describes vibrations of B-Obonds in BO3 triangles, it can be concluded that the modifier cations (Na, K) coordinate the boron-oxygen network to a greater extent, which corresponds to the theory of porous glass synthesis [17,20]. The synthesis scheme of impregnated porous glasses consists of melting of initial glasses, heat treatment, etching, impregnation, tableting, and annealing for pore consolidation.…”

“…Porous glasses were produced from initial glasses according to the phase separation method [11,[17][18][19][20]. The composition of the initial synthesis glasses was as follows: M 2 O-7.6 mol.%; B 2 O 3 -39.9 mol.%; SiO 2 -42.5 mol.%; GeO 2 -10 mol.%, where M = Na/K (Table 2).…”

“…Recently, our group further developed porous skeletons mainly containing MgTi 4 (PO 4 ) 6 or anatase phase from MgO–P 2 O 5 –TiO 2 and MgO–P 2 O 5 –CuO–TiO 2 glasses, respectively. Therein, H 2 SO 4 or HCl was used as the etching medium, respectively. In either case, the solutions generated from the acid treatment containing the acidic components and the dissolved Cu 2+ or Mg 2+ and [PO 4 ] 3– were discarded, causing environmental issues, and needed to be further handled as wastewater. Besides, the strong volatile feature of HCl and the corrosive ability of H 2 SO 4 also threaten people working in production lines if applicable.…”
