This study investigates the significance of self-management in academic staff stress management related to social networking sites (SNS). It emphasizes particularly on reducing social media exhaustion and increasing job effectiveness. The research applies the stressor-strain-outcome theory and the Smart PLS (partial least squares) analytical approach to examine data from 391 respondents. The study’s goal is to provide empirical data on the efficacy of self-control management in reducing SNS stress and its effects on academic staff’s psychological wellbeing and job performance. Data is collected by survey using online email platforms among academic employees, and the collected data is examined utilizing the Smart PLS approach. This approach allows for an investigation of the proposed links and their statistical importance. This research’s ramifications are important for academic institutions since its results can help academic personnel effectively cope with SNS-related stress. Academic employees can better limit their SNS usage and avoid social media tiredness by promoting self-control management practices. As a result, academic employees’ job performance and overall wellbeing may increase. The study’s findings help to comprehend how self-management might reduce SNS stress and improve staff performance in the academic sector.

The Voltage Regulating Distribution Transformer (VRDT) is a tap-changing transformer that regulates the voltage across all three phases. However, its application in the context of renewable energy penetration into low-voltage grids remains understudied. This paper addresses this research gap by presenting a refined voltage drop model tailored for the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) distribution network. Based on a derived mathematical equation, the model is validated and analyzed using Simulink's modeling platform. Simulations are performed without and with the VRDT, revealing that renewable energy penetration can cause instability, leading to voltage deviations proportional to the injected renewable energy. Incorporating the VRDT in the low-voltage grid allows for voltage adjustment under loaded conditions, ensuring uninterrupted renewable energy injection. Voltage stability analysis is conducted using actual load consumption data from the IIUM network for 2020 and 2021, offering valuable insights despite assuming equal energy consumption across buildings. Most hostels exhibit stable distribution systems with solar energy, but instability arises when solar energy comprises 100% of the input for the Safiyyah and Zubair hostels' 11kV distribution transformers. Implementing the VRDT regulates this instability, restoring system stability. This study highlights the importance of VRDT integration in high renewable energy proportion low-voltage grids, enabling voltage regulation and stability under variable renewable energy injection scenarios. The findings demonstrate that VRDTs mitigate voltage instability caused by renewable energy, providing a reliable solution for incorporating renewables into low-voltage distribution networks. It contributes to understanding renewable energy's impact on distribution system stability and offers guidance for VRDT implementation in similar contexts.

Aim/Purpose: Based on the stimulus-organism-response (SOR) model, the current study investigated social commerce functions as an innovative retailing technological support by selecting the three most appropriate features for the Chinese online shopping environment with respective value co-creation intentions. Background: Social commerce is the customers’ online shopping touchpoint in the latest retail era, which serves as a corporate technological tool to extend specific customer services. Although social commerce is a relatively novel platform, limited theoretical attention was provided to determine retailers’ approaches in employing relevant functions to improve consumer experience and value co-creation. Methodology: A questionnaire was distributed to Chinese customers, with 408 valid questionnaires being returned and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Contribution: The current study investigated the new retail concept and value co-creation from the consumer’s perspective by developing a theoretical model encompassing new retail traits and consumer value, which contributed to an alternative theoretical understanding of value creation, marketing, and consumer behaviour in the new retail business model. Findings: The results demonstrated that value co-creation intention was determined by customer experience, hedonic experience, and trust. Simultaneously, the three factors were significantly influenced by interactivity, personalisation, and sociability features. Specifically, customers’ perceptions of the new retail idea and the consumer co-creation value were examined. Resultantly, this study constructed a model bridging new retail characteristics with consumer value. Recommendations for Practitioners: Nonetheless, past new retail management practice studies mainly focused on superficial happiness in the process of human-computer interaction, which engendered a computer system design solely satisfying consumers’ sensory stimulation and experience while neglecting consumers’ hidden value demands. As such, a shift from the subjective perspective to the realisation perspective is required to express and further understand the actual meaning and depth of consumer happiness. Recommendation for Researchers: New retailers could incorporate social characteristics on social commerce platforms to improve the effectiveness of marketing strategies while increasing user trust to generate higher profitability. Impact on Society: The new retail enterprises should prioritise consumers’ acquisition of happiness meaning and deep experience through self-realisation, cognitive improvement, identity identification, and other aspects of consumer experiences and purchase processes. By accurately revealing and matching consumers’ fundamental perspectives, new retailers could continuously satisfy consumer requirements in optimally obtaining happiness. Future Research: Future comparative studies could be conducted on diverse companies within the same industry for comprehensive findings. Moreover, other underlying factors with significant influences, such as social convenience, group cognitive ability, individual family environment, and other external stimuli were not included in the present study examinations.
