Processing and Properties of Natural Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Composite

Abstract: A novel low cost polymer composite using brown grass ower broom reinforcement is prepared. e prepared polymer composite has the lowest porosity, homogeneous surface structure, and the greatest interface bonding. From the physico-mechanical characterization such as: hardness measurement, density measurement, void fraction or porosity measurement, and exural strength measurement, it is found that the prepared composite is of light weight and high strength. Again, from dielectric behaviour of this polymer comp… Show more

“…It means such fiber carries these voids naturally. Thus, it may be the reason of increase in void content with the increase in fiber loading . The presence of voids in composites significantly affects its mechanical properties directly or indirectly.…”

“…Recently, natural fibres have been MATEC Web of Conferences 150, 04008 (2018) https://doi.org/10.1051/matecconf/201815004008 MUCET 2017 awakening the industry to substitute their products by using the natural composite has been widely use in the automotive industry. Thus, because by using the natural fibres they can produce a higher strength of automotive interior components but cheaper in price [11][12][13][14]. Biodegradable composite can be defined as composite material or the combination between matrix and reinforcement of natural fibres.…”
