Abstract: The use of gas in Ukraine began at the beginning of the 20th century. Widespread gasification continued after the end of the Second World War with the launch of the Dashava -Kyiv gas pipeline and its extension to Moscow and Minsk, gas supply to Czechoslovakia. The peak of gas extraction was in the mid-70s of the last century and it amounted to almost 80 billion m 3 .
