Abstract

The International Workshop Tourism and Hospitality Management (IWTHM2021) is an international scientific meeting, that gathers together researchers from around the world, with the purpose of sharing knowledge in the topic of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Moreover, this intensive, diversified and original event intends to be a reference in the scientific community evolving Tourism and Hospitality Management.We are in the third edition, and due to the success of the previous two editions, the Organization Committee decided to continue the discussion of current topics on tourism and hospitality.After a particularly atypical year, in which restrictions were placed on people's mobility, with the aim of limiting the spread of COVID-19, the impacts on the tourism sector are more than many. The OECD forecasts, released in the report "Tourism Policy Responses to the coronavirus (COVID-19)", of June 2, 2020, point not only to a 60% to 80% drop in international tourism, but also to a drop in local tourism, since it is estimated that approximately half of the world population has been or is still subject to containment measures. However, it is expected that local tourism will recover more quickly and can serve as a support, considering that the local tourism economy represents about 75% of the total tourism economy in OECD countries.Considering the great challenges currently facing both national and international tourism, ISAG -European Business School and the Research Center in Business Sciences and Tourism (CICET -FCVC) understand that this is the right time to organize the third edition of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Workshop, aiming at sharing knowledge in scientific fields of tourism and hospitality among the various participants and researchers. Thus, the IWTHM2021 Organizing Committee invited researchers from all around the world to submit their work, under the form of abstracts, extended abstracts and full papers. All manuscripts went through a doubleblind peer-review process in order to be selected to presentation at the Workshop.
