Procedure and Equipment for Circularity Test of Inner Section of Bent Tubes

Abstract

The article goal is to presents a test procedure and experimental equipment for testing inner section of bent tubes. In view of the fact that it is an important component, a test method should be created to see the variation of circularity, which could determines the pressure drop in the tube. This test procedure is necessary because the geometry of the tube is composite and material is not so thick so there are critical points along the tube. Because the geometry of the tube is not so easy to acquire, a way of testing it is to verify the pressure drop between the ball and the tube wall. The possible pressure lost is an indication of the form variation in normal section of the tube. In a first instance a simple solution is presented that could solve the testing problem with the advantage of being not priced. The second solution is an improved, automated one that implies some common electronically devices that can solve some of the drawbacks and the first.
