Procedimiento para evaluar la mejora de la calidad en un programa de formación de posgrado

Abstract

College education has the challenge of providing professionals capable of facing economic and social transformations. The study objective was to evaluate the quality improvement of the Master's program in Industrial Engineering that impacted business sector in Sancti Spíritus-Cuba province. The procedure was designed to determine the initial state, the level of quality and conceived the planning and strategy for improvement. It was designed as a quantitative, non-experimental and descriptive research. The study used information from the accreditation processes, self-evaluations and surveys elaborated by the quality standard of the National Accreditation Council of Cuba, applied according to the samples calculated for the actors involved. The increase in the level of quality in the third and fourth editions is expressed qualitatively in the research of the graduates, made visible and recognized by academia, with endorsements from companies for their economic and social contributions. Thus, as an evaluation methodology for quality improvement, the procedure developed establishes priorities with a process approach, evaluates and follows up on impacts, considering the link with leading companies in the territory and strategic sectors of the country, and involves academic and business actors.
