Procalcitonin (PCT)-guided antibiotic stewardship: an international experts consensus on optimized clinical use

Abstract: Background: Procalcitonin (PCT)-guided antibiotic stewardship (ABS) has been shown to reduce antibiotics (ABxs), with lower side-effects and an improvement in clinical outcomes.
