The development of information technologies stimulates the use of new forms of visualization of scientific and educational materials. This is what the project of creating an electronic “Ethnocultural and landscape atlas of the Pskov region” is focused on. The Pskov region belongs to the old-developed territories of Russia, where the cultural landscapes formed over centuries have a great educational value. The scientific task of the atlas project is related to the disclosure of the ethnocultural diversity of the region’s territory and the specifics of its cultural landscapes. The purpose of this article is to substantiate the general concept, structure, and content of the atlas. The scientific concepts on which the development of the atlas is based were selected. These are the concepts of the cultural landscape and geocultural space developed in cultural geography, which determine the structure and content of the atlas. The atlas includes eight main thematic blocks. each section of the atlas has 10 maps in average. The content of several thematic blocks of the atlas is determined by the information-axiological approach within the concept of cultural landscapes. These are sections where objects of cultural and natural heritage within the Pskov region or its administrative districts are presented. Other thematic blocks of the atlas present the layers of geocultural space considered in dynamics, such as political-historical, ethnic and confessional, linguistic and toponymic, etc. The electronic “Ethnocultural and Landscape Atlas of the Pskov region” is a unique geographic information resource. The main audience of atlas is the youth of the Pskov region. Due to the publication of the atlas on the Internet, it will be available to people of other ages. The atlas is intended for use in popular science, educational, cultural, and tourist purposes.

Bagaevskaya, Rostov-on-Don ( It is important to note that during the transition to a new system of solid municipal waste management on the basis of the Federal Law of 24.06.1998 №89 "On production and consumption waste" 8 regional operators -Intermunicipal ecological waste processing complexes for the management of solid municipal waste in the Rostov region were identified: Myasnikovsky, Salsky, Morozovsky, Volgodonsk, Neklinovsky, Novocherkassky, Millerovsky, Krasnosulinsky. Since January 1, 2021, the Volgodonsk Intermunicipal Ecological Waste Processing Complex has been launched and is operating for solid municipal waste management, it discusses the city of Volgodonsk and 9 nearby districts with a population of more than 400 thousand people; accepts up to 200 thousand tons of solid municipal waste waste per year, it includes: an automated waste sorting complex, a biocomposting site [11,12], the actual solid municipal waste landfill.…”

The article is devoted to the search for an innovative approach to the elimination of combustion foci at solid municipal waste landfills. In connection with the increase in the number of solid municipal waste landfills near settlements, a number of geoecological problems are increasing. One of the most complex geoecological problems arising in connection with the operation of solid municipal waste landfills is the problem of the genesis and development of surface fires in the layer of household waste. At the same time, concern is caused not only by the actual dangerous factors of the spread of fire, but also by the subsequent significant pollution of the surface layer with air by combustion products, including those of a carcinogenic or mutagenic nature. To achieve this goal, the article describes an innovative approach to eliminating combustion foci at solid municipal waste landfills: an innovative device developed by the authors of the study - a mechanical fire hydrant for wetting burning deep layers of consumption waste with a fire-extinguishing liquid.

Introduction. This article presents the results of studying the current environmental state of surface water bodies located in the affected area of phosphate mining enterprises and significantly altered as a result of technogenesis. Objects of accumulated environmental damage caused by mining enterprises contain the bulk (up to 85%) of waste accumulated in dumps, heaps and storages. In the Leningrad region, these are ash and slag dumps of the Slantsy Plant — about 35%, phosphogypsum of Fosforit Production Association and Volkhov Aluminum Smelter — about 18%, quartz sand with the content of phosphorite of Fosforit Production Association — about 17%, limestone — wastes from beneficiating oil shale of Leningradslanets Production Association — 12%, ash and slag dumps of CHPPs and state district power plants — 5%. In this regard, the authors assess the hydrochemical situation that has formed in the territory of the industrial site of ООО PG Fosforit in recent years. Methods. The article describes in detail a method for conducting field and laboratory studies for the period from 2017 to 2019, including a method for sampling and analysis. The authors analyze the content of basic anions and cations in a series of metals using high performance liquid chromatography and atomic absorption spectroscopy. Results. In the course of the studies, the authors revealed pollutants, the content of which in surface water bodies exceeds the maximum allowable concentrations. Conclusions. As a result of the studies, the authors identified sources of accumulated environmental damage and post-technological processes affecting the state of water bodies, and determined the trophicity of minor rivers in the affected area of decommissioned mining enterprises.
