Problems and Prospects of Targeted Public Distribution System in Karnataka-an Overview

Abstract: Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) a part of the Poverty Alleviation Programme of Indian Government. This scheme was introduced in 1997. PDS, a rationing instrument, which entitle, households to specific quantities, essential commodities selected and food grains at reasonable prices to BPL, APL and AAY families.
