Abstract:The article examines the specific features of modern dystopia, the themes and issues of the genre. The object of research is modern dystopian novels of the World and Ukrainian literature.
In contrast to the 20th century, the concepts of critical, feminist, digital, national (in the context of multiculturalism) dystopia were included in the literary circulation of dystopia researchers of the 21st century. Specific groups and their genre subspecies are distinguished.
