Problem of the propagation of waves in an inhomogeneous medium with memory

В работе рассматривается волновое уравнение для среды с памятью, полученное при исследовании усредненных моделей комбинированных сред и описывающее одномерный вариант закона Кельвина-Фойгхта вязкоупругих колебаний комбинированных сред. Задача состоит в определении функции, с физической точки зрения отвечающей за среднее смещение материала. Для этого с помощью формулы распространяющихся волн строится решение через общее решение системы первого порядка, в которой каждое уравнение является уравнением переноса вдоль соответствующей характеристики. Основной результат сформулирован в виде двух теорем для дискретной и непрерывной модификации уравнения. В работе также содержатся наглядные соображения, приводящие к построению классического решения уравнений.
