Probing electroweakly interacting massive particles with Drell–Yan process at 100 TeV hadron colliders

Abstract: There are many models beyond the standard model which include electroweakly interacting massive particles (EWIMPs), often in the context of the dark matter. In this paper, we study the indirect search of EWIMPs using a precise measurement of the Drell-Yan cross sections at future 100 TeV hadron colliders. It is revealed that this search strategy is suitable in particular for Higgsino and that the Higgsino mass up to about 1.3 TeV will be covered at 95 % C.L. irrespective of the chargino and neutralino mass dif… Show more

“…[48], future collider sensitivities may reach m χ ± 1 1.2-1.3 TeV by analyzing the NC/HW channel at the HL-LHC [101,102], and m χ ± 1 1.4 (3.4) TeV at a future 100 TeV pp collider [103,104]. Besides, the electroweakinos will be able to be probed indirectly [105][106][107][108], e.g., for m χ ± 1 1.7-2.3 TeV at a 100 TeV pp collider. Note that since these evaluations were performed on the simplified models, i.e., the sensitivities would be degraded in realistic setups.…”

“…3 the detection reach of Higgsino and Wino from the neutral current (NC) processes (mediated by photon or Z-boson), the charged current (CC) processes (mediated by W -boson), and the combination of these two results. We have seen that the addition of the CC processes improves the detection reach from the previous analysis [14]. From the combined analysis, the bounds at the 5σ (95% C.L.)…”

“…While completing this work a preprint appeared on the arXiv [54] where bounds on EW multiplets for the neutral Drell-Yan channel at a future 100 TeV collider were discussed. As we showed however, the charged current channel leads to stronger bounds than the neutral one also for a future 100 TeV collider.…”
