Probing a slepton Higgs on all frontiers

Abstract: Abstract:We study several aspects of supersymmetric models with a U(1) R symmetry where the Higgs doublet is identified with the superpartner of a lepton. We derive new, stronger bounds on the gaugino masses based on current measurements, and also propose ways to probe the model up to scales of O(10 TeV) at future e + e − colliders. Since the U(1) R symmetry cannot be exact, we analyze the effects of R-symmetry breaking on neutrino masses and proton decay. In particular, we find that getting the neutrino mixin… Show more

“…After the Higgs boson discovery, this has been studied in the context of the SUSY phenomenology and was found to lead to various interesting signatures and better agreements with particular phenomena [17][18][19][20]. For low-scale SUSY, R-symmetry with introducing adjoint multiplets is needed to avoid too large neutrino masses, and a low cutoff scale is needed to get realistic SM Yukawa interaction terms unless there are additional Higgs multiplets.…”

“…Such identification can lead to models with unusual structure and phenomenology. For example, if the U(1) R symmetry is identified with a lepton number the sneutrino can acquire a significant vacuum expectation value (vev) and play the role of the down type Higgs [12,[14][15][16][17][27][28][29].…”

“…As we deal with particles with masses of the order of a few TeV and which decouple at small x, g * can safely be approximated by a constant g * ≈ 106.75. The parameter Y eq i represents the equilibrium value of Y i and is given by [101]: 29) where the i and j indices can represent any particle. Annihilation of two binos contributes to σ ij v ij , annihilation of a single bino contributes to σ iX v iX and conversion contributes to σ jX v jX .…”
