Physical layer security for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is a laborious and highly critical issue in the world. Wireless sensor networks have great importance in civil and military fields or applications. Security of data/information through wireless medium remains a challenge. The data that we transmit wirelessly has increased the speed of transmission rate. In physical layer security, the data transfer between source and destination is not confidential, and thus the user has privacy issues, which is why improving the security of wireless sensor networks is a prime concern. The loss of physical security causes a great threat to a network. We have various techniques to resolve these issues, such as interference, noise, fading in the communications, etc. In this paper we have surveyed the different parameters of a security design model to highlight the vulnerabilities. Further we have discussed the various attacks on different layers of the TCP/IP model along with their mitigation techniques. We also elaborated on the applications of WSNs in healthcare, military information integration, oil and gas. Finally, we have proposed a solution to enhance the security of WSNs by adopting the alpha method and handshake mechanism with encryption and decryption.

The quick development of innovations and increasing use of the internet of things (IoT) in human life brings numerous challenges. It is because of the absence of adequate capacity resources and tremendous volumes of IoT information. This can be resolved by a cloud-based architecture. Consequently, a progression of challenging security and privacy concerns has emerged in the cloud based IoT context. In this paper, a novel approach to providing security in cloud based IoT environments is proposed. This approach mainly depends on the working of rough set rules for guaranteeing security during data sharing (rough set method-cloud IoT (RSM-CIoTD)). The proposed RSM-CIoTD conspire guarantees secure communication between the user and cloud service provider (CSP) in a cloud based IoT. To manage unauthorized users, an RSM-CIoTD scheme utilizes a registered authority which plays out a two-degree confirmation between the network substances. The security and privacy appraisal techniques utilize minimum and maximum trust benefits of past communication. The experiments show that our proposed system can productively and safely store the cloud service while outperforming other security methods.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is gaining a tons of attention in numerous industries due to its low-cost autonomous sensor operations. IoT devices in healthcare and medical activities establish an environment that recognizes the patients’ health status such as stress levels, oxygen supply, pulse and warmth, and responds quickly in the event of an emergency. Moreover, various systems founded on low-powered biosensor nodules have been proposed to monitor patients’ medical conditions utilizing Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN); despite the fact that controlling increasing power usage and communication expenses is time-consuming and attention-demanding. Another difficult research problem is data privacy and integrity in the presence of malicious traffic. Therefore, to overcome the above-stated limitations, this research introduces a Safe and the Energy-Efficient Framework for e-Healthcare using Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), whose main goal is to reduce transmission cost but also power usage among biomaterials while sending health records conveniently and, on the other hand, to protect patients’ medical data from unverified and malevolent base stations to increase internet confidentiality and protection.
