Printed Eddy Current Testing Sensors: Toward Structural Health Monitoring Applications

Abstract: Reliable measurements in structural health monitoring mean for the instrumentation to be set in perfect reproducible conditions. The solution described in this study consists of printing the sensors directly on the parts to be controlled. This method solves the reproducibility issue, limits human error, and can be used in confined or hazardous environments.
