“…The leafminer is described as having a high mobility and dispersal capacity, which can be seen by its widespread presence in the newly occupied territories (Bernardo et al, 2015; Takács et al, 2020). The study of Poggetti et al (2019) in Italy shows that altitude is a factor limiting the moth's distribution, most signs of pest damage being found on walnut trees at low altitudes up to 400 m, occasionally at 400 m and absent at altitudes higher than 600 m. Outside Europe there was a report in Mexico in 2012 (Ávila‐Rodriguez et al, 2015) when the species was found in pecan nut orchards causing moderate damage.…”
