Primeiro Registro de Ocorrência da Mosca-do-Mediterrâneo, Ceratitis capitata (Wied.) (Diptera: Tephritidae) na Amazônia Brasileira

Abstract: First Recorci of Medfly. Ceratitis capita/a (Wiedmann) (Diptera: Tephritidac) lo the Brazilian Amazon ABSTRACT -The occurrence of the medfly Ceratiris capilata (Wied.) (Diptera: Tephritidae) in Rondônia State is reported (10° 42'49" latitude S 62° 14'29" longitude W). This is the first record for this insect in the Brazilian Amazonia rcgion. Males and females were obtained from guava fniit, Psidiwn gua/ava (Myrtaccae), and from Melpan Iraps.
