Abstract:Introduction: Pure primary gastric squamous cell carcinoma is rare, accounting for 0.04-0.07% of all gastric cancers. The pathogenesis and behaviour are unclear and treatment strategy is controversial, and so, the prognosis is poor in almost all reported cases.
