Abstract:Malignant mesothelioma of the pericardium is a rare disorder with a worse outcome compared to the pleural presentation of the disease. All treatment modalities are usually palliative. Here we report a patient with malignant mesothelioma of the pericardium presenting with severe dyspnea and pericardial effusion who survived only 2 months despite aggressive treatment.
