Primary Paraspinal Hydatid Cyst in a Patient Presenting with Low Back Pain

Abstract: Case: A 54-year-old man presented with low back pain and low-grade fever. Palpation revealed a focal mass of the lumbar region. Radiographs were normal, but magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a multicystic mass at the level of L2-L4. The initial diagnosis of a hydatid cyst was confirmed after surgical excision.
