Background: Meningosarcoma represent a rare disease with an uncertain prognosis. Moreover, localization of tumours in the infratemporal fossa is rare. Lack of associated symptomatology of infratemporal fossa's lesions could result in a diagnosis and treatment delay. Also, surgical management of infratemporal fossa neoplasm remain challenging.
Case presentation:The authors present the case of a meningosarcoma extended to the infratemporal fossa, which presented in an advanced stage and required other treatment further than surgery.
Conclusion:A comprehensive histological evaluation and a multidisciplinary team help making the diagnosis and managing all eventualities. Sometimes surgery is not enough, and more therapeutic strategies are necessary.
