“…In recent years, more evidences have reported that patients with open fractures and bone defects were treated with 1-staged Ilizarov external fixation. [ 9 , 10 ] For emergency patients, although Ilizarov technique is more stable than temporary external fixator, the installation time of fixator was too long and it needs repeated fluoroscopy to adjust the limb force line.
