Primary Cutaneous Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (pcALCL) in Elderly, the Importance of a Sport Activity Training

Abstract: : PcALCL mainly concerns elderly patients. It is a large CD30+ T-cell neoplasm composed of large cells with anaplastic, pleomorphic or immunoblastic morphology, with exclusively cutaneous onset and localization. The clinical course of pcALCL is predominantly indolent. Most elderly patients with lymphoma tend to have a sedentary lifestyle, which has a negative effect on their quality of life (QoL) and on their survival. Several studies indicate that exercise has a positive impact on QoL because it reduces peak … Show more

“…A foreign body once removed may be covered with a broad spectrum of antibiotics as dictated by clinical indicators. “…In retrospect, our approach is still in line with the current recommendation for treatment of PC-ALCL, the diagnosis made at the time, which is complete surgical excision and/or local radiotherapy. 30,31 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma is a particularly rare occurrence on the hand, and its rarity contributes to issues in prompt and proper diagnosis. It is difficult for a clinician to accurately determine the etiology of certain lesions without the aid of flow cytometry or FISH studies, thus warranting invasive biopsy for pathologic diagnostic procedures.…”

“…Accordingly, only a few patients with DLBCL are described in complete remission after surgery alone in literature. It should also be considered that, even if an extra-nodal lymphoma is the only neoplastic lesion detected with accurate diagnostic procedures, the possibility of an undiagnosed systemic involvement may not be excluded, and systemic therapy should be in any case applied [ 35 , 36 , 37 , 38 , 39 , 40 ].…”
