Nail plate involvement was noted in 8 patients 2,3,5,6,8,13,16 ; the clinical presentations varied from longitudinal melanonychia, which mimicked melanoma in 2 patients, 8,13 to partial 16 or complete nail plate destruction, 6 to onycholysis with subungual debris, 2 to ulceration within the nail bed. 3 Seven individuals, including our patient, had tumor that either involved or was in proximity to the nailfold.…”
