Prevention of Thromboembolic Events in Patients with COVID-19

Abstract: Background: COVID-19 has developed into a global pandemic with respiratory compromise and systemic coagulopathy causing significant morbidity and mortality. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on all COVID-19 patients hospitalized between March and June 2020. Findings: Of 1265 COVID-19 positive hospitalized patients identified, 138 (10.9%) had a thromboembolism.
