Prevention and treatment of postoperative ligature fistulas

Abstract: We observed 27 patients (24 men and 3 women) with ligature fistulas after nephrectomy (10 patients) and suprapubic transvesical adenomectomy with primary bladder blind suture (17 patients). The age of patients with postoperative lumbar fistulas ranged from 28 to 40 years; the average age of those who underwent adenomectomy was 67 years.
