Abstract: Introducción: Las extubaciones no programadas constituyen un evento adverso frecuente y de alto impacto, en la mayoría de los casos la presencia de este evento se relaciona con factores como la vía aérea, ventilación mecánica, nivel de sedación, estado y actividad mental del paciente, entre otros también prevenibles.
