Prevalence of US Adults With Cardiovascular Disease Reporting Barriers to Clinician Office Visits

Abstract: Using a sample of >2 million US adults, we estimate that 11.9 million Americans with cardiovascular disease have difficulty walking or are dependent on another person to attend medical appointments, or both. Alternative models of cardiac rehabilitation that adapt to these limitations are needed to increase attendance of cardiac rehabilitation.
