Prevalence of sarcopenia and the association of sarcopenia, premorbid factors, early functional outcome and 1-year mortality in Hong Kong Chinese fragility hip fracture patients

Abstract: Background/purpose: Sarcopenia is a predictor of fall, which is a leading cause of fragility hip fractures (FHF). Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is a costly measurement method for sarcopenia. Rehabilitation and prognosis can be determined by early functional outcomes.
