“…In a meta-analysis involving 32 countries, the rotavirus prevalence among children aged 5 years and older and adolescents was found to be relatively low compared to those reported for children under 5 years. 26 In our study, similar data were found in children under 5 years and over 5 years.…”

“…However, it has not been completely understood to what extent rotavirus affects this population. 26 In a surveillance study of acute diarrhea, patients of all ages in China between 2009 and 2018, rotavirus and adenovirus peaked in 2-3 years of age, and in another study conducted in Turkey, rotavirus peaked in 1-2 years and adenovirus in 0-1 years. 14,20 In our study, where populations of all ages were evaluated, positivity for rotavirus verified in the first three age groups studied (0-<13 years) was practically the same.…”

“…Also, the difference in these results can be due to different diagnosis RV tests, such as ELISA (3,(10)(11)(12)(13), multiplex real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) (6), and rapid stool antigen immune-chromatographic (ICT) test (1). The RV-PCR seems to be 16 times more sensitive than ELISA (14) and can mask true prevalence changes (15). However, in the re- viewed researchers in the current study, the results of PCR were observed to be lower than those of ELISA, which is inconsistent with the studies by Arakaki et al ( 15) and Kim and Kim (14).…”

“…Meta-analysis is a kind of literature quality evaluation method, which can confirm some specific research results and evaluate the value of clinical studies by searching through relevant literature that meets the requirements and integrates the search results. 21 This study conducted a meta-analysis on the effect of TCM on AIDS diarrhea; the results showed that TCM was effective in the treatment of AIDS and diarrhea, and could improve the TCM syndrome scores of patients without increasing the risk of adverse reactions. Analysis of possible reasons: TCM treatment of AIDS and diarrhea is conducted based on the theory of TCM syndrome differentiation, overall adjustment, focusing on the person's body, and the combination of TCM internal and external treatment, which can all achieve good results.…”
