Abstract:Tobacco and alcohol consumption, unhealthy diet and
insufcient physical exercise along with other associated
factors are considered to be the main causes of the four most
common NCDs – cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic

respiratory diseases and diabetes. Rapid urbanization and
industrialization has led to a global socioeconomic transition
and thus promoted health risk behavior resulting in cardio

vascular diseases and events.
