“…This figure is lower than what was reported from AlKharj, Saudi Arabia (55%), from India (55%) but higher than the figures reported from Iran (12.2%), UAE (29.8%), and Middle-East region (28.6%). [ 24 26 27 28 ] The differences in the prevalence rates in these studies could be due to the methods of measuring HTN, sample sizes of studies in addition to prevalence of risk factors such as obesity, smoking, diabetes, salt intake, and sedentary life. In this regard, it was mandatory to follow up individuals with pre-HTN, assess them for other risk factors and manage them accordingly.…”
