“…Autori su klasifikovali pacijente u grupe bez komplikacija i sa komplikacijama, a zatim na osnovu vrednosti HbA 1c na one koji su postigli adekvatnu (<7%), zadovoljavajuću (7-8%) i neadekvatnu (>8%) metaboličku kontrolu. Utvrdili su da je najveći broj pacijenata sa gangrenom donjih ekstremiteta imao vrednosti HbA 1c >8% (8).
