Prevalence of Alcohol Consumption among University Students in Baghdad: A Cross-section survey from Iraq

Abstract: Background: Alcohol consumption is a well-known public health problem, especially among university students. It was poorly studied in Middle East, especially in Iraq, due to religious and social taboos. This finding is contrary to that of [22] in which the prevalence of alcohol consumption among students from rural areas was higher compared to those from urban; 23.3% and 8.3% respectively.
