“…The relationship between job strain and the onset of neck/shoulder pain has been more widely studied than the relationship between job strain and recovery. There are some studies in more homogenous groups that have identified job strain as a risk factor or an effectmodifier for neck pain [10,18,26,29,31]. Previous reports from the MUSIC-Norrtälje study reported a lack of association between job strain and the onset of neck-shoulder pain, possibly due to low exposure prevalence or too low a contrast between exposed and unexposed subjects [8,9,33].…”

“…Symptomatic shoulder disorders are common causes of pain and disability in the general population (Luime et al 2004). Although there is no consensus about factors causing shoulder pain after a natural disaster, shoulder pain was the third-most frequent kind of pain, after lower back and knee pain amongst the GEJE survivors (Yabuki et al 2015).…”

“…2 The prevalence of shoulder pain ranges from 20% to 50% in the general population. 3 Many treatments for shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS) are available in clinical practice. [4][5][6][7][8] Combined treatments composed of exercise and other therapies tended to yield better effects than single-intervention therapies.…”
